You can have it as side dish or a snack, yes, potatoes can be a good substitute for breads, crackers or so.
Ingredients:
- 4 potatoes peeled
- 1tbs butter
- salt
- dried oregano
Procedures:
- chop the potatoes and bring them to a pan with boiling water
- add 2 tsp of salt
- let it cook until the potatoes are smooth
- drain the potatoes
- discard the water
- in the same pan, add the butter, the potatoes and oregano. Let it fry in low heat until the potatoes start to turn brown on the edges.
