Rice Bites


Do you have leftover rice in the fridge? These 2 recipes will make your rice look like a star in a delicious appetizer or snack. You can fry using oil or Airfryer .

The green version is light and tasty using the power of spinach combined with parmesan. The cheesy version will delight your taste buds with a melted mozzarella along with ham and parmesan. It’s very crunchy outside and creamy in the inside.

Green Rice Bites

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked rice 
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese 
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp flour 
  • 1 cup spinach 
  • ¼  onion 
  • ½ cup milk 
  • 2 tbsp parsley 
  • 1 tsp salt

Procedure:

mix all the ingredients using a blender

scoop making quenelles or balls 

fry for 2 min (356ºF – 180ºC) 

dump the bites  onto a plate with a paper towel

Cheese Rice Bites

  • 1 + ½ cup cooked rice 
  • 1 cup mozzarella shredded or diced  
  • 1 cup parmesan 
  • ½ cup  flour
  • 1 egg
  • 80 ml milk 
  • 5 slices of salami  or 3 slices of ham 
  • nutmeg 
  • ½ tsp black pepper 
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 2 tsp cilantro
  • 1 tsp  green onion 
  • lime zest

Procedure:

mix all the ingredients

scoop making quenelles or balls 

fry for 2 min (356ºF – 180ºC) 

dump the bites  onto a plate with a paper towel
