Brigadeiro – Brazilian truffles

Chocolate version

Ingredients:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½  cup carnation or heavy cream 
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder 
  • 2 tbsp butter 
  • 1 pinch of salt 
  • sprinkles and butter to roll up 

Procedure:

  1. in a pan, mix cocoa and heavy cream 
  2. add butter, condensed milk , salt and stir until combined 
  3. turn on the stove over medium heat –  now you will stir all the way until it comes away from the bottom of the pan. 
  4. The correct consistency is when you pass the spatula along the bottom of the pan and create a path (see the picture) 

Rolling up:

spread butter on your hands, make balls with the brigadeiro, and sprinkle with sprinkles
