Vanilla Brigadeiro – Brazilian truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 yolk
  • ½ cup heavy cream or carnation 
  • 1 tsp vanilla 
  • 2 tbsp butter 
  • 1 pinch of salt 
  • sprinkles or milk powder and butter to roll up 

Procedure:

  1. in a pan, mix heavy cream, vanilla, condensed milk, salt, butter
  2. separate the yolk from the egg white
  3. remove the egg yolk membrane
  4. add the yolk into the pan
  5. turn on the stove over medium heat –  now you will stir all the way until it comes away from the bottom of the pan. 
  6. the correct consistency is when you pass the spatula along the bottom of the pan and create a path (see the picture) 

Rolling up:

spread butter on your hands, make balls with the brigadeiro, and sprinkle with sprinkles
